CFPB Announces 2022 Thresholds Under Reg Z & Reg M

On 11/30/2021, the CFPB issued a number of thresholds for 2022 under Regulation Z, as well as a threshold under Regulation M. First, the CFPB announced that the threshold for exempting loans from special appraisal requirements for higher-priced mortgage loans during 2021 will increase from the 2021 amount of $27,200 to $28,500 for 2022.

In addition, the threshold exempting certain loans from the Truth in Lending Act as well as the Consumer Leasing Act in 2022 will increase from the 2021 amount of $58,300 to $61,000 for 2022.
