On February 9, 2023, the CFPB the CFPB issued Version 1 of the 2023 Reportable HMDA Data: A Regulatory and Reporting Overview Reference Chart. The 38-page chart is intended to be used as a reference tool for data points required to be collected, recorded, and reported under Regulation C.

The chart includes the required data point and the relevant regulation and commentary sections for ease of reference. The chart also includes information from the 2022 Filing Instructions Guide. In particular, the chart provides filing instructions as well as guidance on when to report not applicable or exempt, including the codes used for reporting not applicable or exempt.

The chart, however, does not provide data fields or enumerations used in preparing the HMDA loan/application register or LAR.
