FinCEN Rescinds Previous Alerts on West Bank Violence

On January 29, 2025, FinCEN rescinded two of its previous Alerts on Israeli Extremist violence in the West Bank. The Alerts. As a result, FinCEN will no longer request that financial institutions file suspicious activity reports with the key term “FIN-2024-WBEXTREMISM.”

The alerts were issued following former President Biden's signing of an executive order establishing a new sanctions program aimed at addressing violence in the West Bank. However, the decision to lift the alerts came soon after the Trump administration's announcement that it was ending the sanctions program.
