Treasury Seeks Information on AI in Financial Institutions

On June 6, 2024, the Treasury released a request for information on the Uses, Opportunities, and Risks of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Financial Services Sector. The Treasury is particularly interested in understanding how AI innovations can help promote a financial system that delivers inclusive and equitable access to financial services.

The Treasury is gathering information from a broad set of stakeholders in the financial services industry, including those providing, facilitating, and receiving financial products and services, as well as consumer and small business advocates, academics, nonprofits, and others. Written comments and information  will be accepted for 60 days from the RFI’s publication in the Federal Register.
